Lutron Lighting Control Systems
October is the favorite month of many Houstonians. It is the first real break we get from the summer long smoldering heat, yet it is still warm enough to sit on the patio and enjoy the sun and ideal temperatures. Almost every day seems like the best day of the year to be outside.
But have you thought about light levels and comfort within your own home? Did you know you can have the very best in lighting and environmental control throughout the year? Did you know that this level of control is both user-friendly in its simplicity, but ultra-sophisticated in its operability?
During October, ILD is promoting the magic of home lighting systems and lighting control systems.
If you want to keep it simple for starters, let us install some Lutron wall box dimmers. The wall box dimmer is the basic building block for all lighting control systems. It gives you precision control over the lighting levels in each room. You can set the levels high, medium-high, or low and ambient lighting for special moods and occasions. This includes recessed lights for fine art lighting, tabletop lamps for your reading, and general room lighting for visibility.
A more robust lighting control solution is Lutron Radio RA 2, a fully automated home lighting and environmental control system that is easily installed by simply replacing existing switches. No patch or painting required!
Radio RA 2 is the perfect solution for the Houston family who frequently hosts events in their home. In the past, lights had to be turned on and subsequently off in all rooms where guests were expected to congregate.
The Radio RA 2 system can be programmed to activate pre-set lighting levels in each room to set general moods and themes for parties. When the party is over, all you have to do is push one button on any number of tabletop or keypad controls to either turn everything off or return to your low-level personal lighting settings before retiring for the evening.
If you are having a new home built, you can take lighting control to an even higher level by having your home wired for a brand new Lutron Home Works system. In addition to all the convenience and comfort of Radio RA 2, Lutron Home Works provides remote control capability of your entire home lighting and climate control systems.
Lutron Home Works can be activated both domestically and internationally from remote stations such as laptops, iPads, and iPhones. This is an ideal security feature for someone who wants to make an empty house look “lived in” while they are away. Of course, if you are too busy to manually manipulate your custom home lighting while travelling abroad, we can program the system to do it for you.
Many of you have already invested in one of these amazing Lutron lighting control solutions and have experienced a wonderful blend of luxury and energy savings. Perhaps you recently purchased a home with an existing lighting control system and you simply need some help understanding how it works. Please keep in mind that ILD is always here to repair, expand, or reprogram any Lutron lighting control system.
