Knowing that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry, the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network. Women in Construction of Fort Worth was so successful that it gained its national charter in 1955 and became the National Association of Women in Construction. NAWIC's core purpose is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry.

Every house in Texas has light, but few houses have lighting designs that add aesthetic preeminence to the physical dwelling itself. The universal nature and psychological power of light make it the most effective decorative element available to man when layered proportional to architecture, landscaping, and indigenous vegetation surrounding the residence. The complexity of truly impeccable house lighting requires a level of expertise and sophistication simply not available through retail channels or online superstores that push bargain products without any corresponding design or installation services. The event is organized by the Alumni and Friends of Bellaire High School, a non-profit organization. The race benefits Bellaire High School Student Scholarships. Illuminations Lighting Design is a proud to be a continuing sponsor of the 12th Annual Bellaire 5K Fun Run.
The Alumni and Friends of Bellaire High School (AFBHS) is a nonprofit organization which was formed in August 1993. The organization is composed of non-paid volunteers gathered to help maintain the national standards for which Bellaire High School is known. These volunteers contribute their time, energy and support to the organization.
AFBHS is supported primarily by raising funds from alumni, friends and community businesses. Our goals are to raise money for student scholarships, teacher grants, and school improvements. To date, we have raised over $400,000 for Bellaire High School. Contributions to Bellaire High School Alumni and Friends assists the organization in providing yearly student scholarships, yearly teacher grants and funding for school improvements. We implemented a plan of action that resulted in clearly showcasing the many fine points of River Oaks Country Club building design, decorum, and exquisite landscaping that would otherwise become invisible after sunset.
Conjunctive to the clubhouse remodel, we illuminated the entire facade of the building so that the angles and physical structures of the clubhouse stand out from all angles of approach along River Oaks Drive. Whenever River Oaks Country Club members and guests attend nighttime events, the very first thing they see as they approach the facility is the illuminated edifice of the building inviting them to an evening of luxury and relaxed entertainment. To create this effect, the ILD consulting team drew upon years of training and experience in advanced commercial architectural lighting techniques. Using only the best equipment from major manufacturers with whom we have solid, ongoing relationships, we minimized the physical appearance of the lighting fixtures to better enhance and highlight the aesthetic of the building itself. To accentuate the physical tree line surrounding the grounds, we selectively employed tree canopy lights to up light the trees themselves, thus giving a sense of natural perimeter to the ground by uniting indigenous vegetation with human engineering. The result is a blended experience for the diner where art, design, architecture, and nature become one singular, fine, memorable event.

The Texas Youth Rodeo Association (TYRA) is a family oriented organization that strives to produce youth rodeos that support and promote the sport of youth rodeo throughout Texas. Over 240 kids from all over the state of Texas gathered to compete in one of the oldest Youth Rodeos in the State of Texas. As a contributor and sponsor of the TYRA we are proud of the hard work and dedication these youngsters put forth working with their animals, their parents and their peers.
This year the Texas Youth Rodeo Association was able to reward the youth with 62 saddles, 126 custom belt buckles and 12 scholarships and $10,000 in added cash.
