Stewart Film Screen and Lutron team up for seamless integration of retractable projection screens.Home cinema has never been this elegant or dramatic, because Stewart Filmscreen believes screens should be seen and not heard. In an exclusive collaboration, Stewart Film Screens has joined forces with Lutron Electronics Co. Inc., the world leader in lighting control, to bring to market the very first completely silent retractable projection screen. These home automation products and others are avaialble from Illuminations Lighting Design.
All electric screens descend or ascend from their encasements with some degree of noise-until now. Lutron pioneered the Sivoia QED (Quiet Electronic Drive) technology to reduce the amount of noise associated with motorized window treatments. This technology applied exclusively to Stewart Filmscreen products will allow motorized screens to be operated in complete silence. The Sivoia QED is available on Stewart Filmscreen's notable Luxus Model A Electriscreen and Visionary Screen (right)-making these models the quietest screens on the market. (They can also be used commercial applications, such as in a boardroom or house of worship.)
