Houston candidates for audio visual jobs must demonstrate superior computer literacy skills and the ability to program custom lighting control themes.  Ideally, audio visual job candidates will have two years minimum experience working in lighting control system installation and prove efficient and accurate in low voltage cabling and termination for data, phone, video, cable, and satellite systems.  We also prefer that Houston audio visual job applicants possess strong product knowledge of AMX, Lutron, Vantage Controls, Runco Projectors, and Stewart Filmscreen Theater screens.  Because each home automation system consists of features uniquely custom to a specific home, it is important for an audio visual job candidate to demonstrate the ability to quickly conceptualize an automation design, then select the appropriate components necessary to build that concept into an efficient and reliable system for the client.
 
Expert handling of tools and equipment characterizes our ideal AV technician, as this position requires an equal measure of thinking skills and hands-on coordination.  We require each audio visual job applicant to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of rack assembly and lacing, and we give first interview priority to candidates trained and certified by one or more major control systems manufacturers.  Because the majority of our home automation systems link home security cameras, intercoms, and gate access controls into computer and televisions sets inside the house, priority consideration will also be extended to AV technicians who are either experienced or trained in phone system installation and the basics of PC networking.  Every candidate must pass a drug screen, prove US citizenship, and hold a current Texas Driver License to qualify for employment with ILD.
