Illuminations Lighting Design Joins Prestigious Organization, CEDIA.

Illuminations Lighting Design is proud to announce its membership with the prestigious trade organization CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association). This affiliation comes as part of Illuminations ongoing efforts to develop a top-ranked Audio Video (AV) division in addition to its other extensive services including professional lighting design, landscape lighting design and installation, and electrical contracting. Established in the summer of 2004, the AV division of Illuminations was founded by industry experts Paul Gerhardt and Faisal Manzoor, a CEDIA certified designer. Since that time, CEDIA certified installer David Smith has joined the growing team.

According to the organization, “CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,000 member companies worldwide. CEDIA members are established and insured businesses with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field. CEDIA members include Residential Electronics Systems Professionals who have emerged as the “fourth contractor” in the building and remodeling industries alongside electrical, plumbing and HVAC professionals.”

Among the benefits are those to the end-user: “Consumers benefit because they can obtain referrals through CEDIA to find qualified, reputable and insured design and installation contractors to counsel them and work in their homes. They also benefit by having CEDIA promote professionalism and honorable business practices in the field of custom installation.”
