The term "moon shadow" refers to effects created by mercury vapor down lights carefully hidden in trees. Soft, moon like light rains down from an invisible source above and forms complex patterns of light and shadow on earth and water features. Streams, private lakes, artificial geysers, water walls and waterfalls all light up with an iridescent sense of movement as the water dances between light and darkness.
